The Equipment, Materials, and Sustainment Management service provides full lifecycle support for procuring, managing, and sustaining all materials and supplies essential for contract operations. This service ensures compliance with federal regulations, including FAR and DFARS property management requirements, AFMAN 17-1203 IT asset management policies, and supply chain risk management guidelines.
Key activities include inventory management, procurement through approved sources, IT configuration and labeling, software installation, and compliance with government ownership transition requirements for CAP assets. The service also ensures that all IT and electronic equipment purchases meet OEM and authorized distributor standards, preventing the use of refurbished or unauthorized products.
